DeCaro Doran is very pleased to announce that Kira E. Zuber and Diane E. Moir have joined the firm as Associate Attorneys. Kira joins us after completing a judicial law clerk position and Diane comes to the firm after relocating from Great Neck, New York.  

Kira Zuber graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2010 and received her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in May 2014.  For the last twelve months, Kira served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Kathleen L. Beckstead at Wicomico County, Maryland Circuit Court.  Her prior experience includes three months as a Summer Associate with DeCaro Doran in 2013, a judicial internship with The Honorable Nicholas E. Rattal, Prince George’s County Circuit Court, and as a law clerk with the firm of Sasscer, Clagett and Bucher in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.  Additionally, Kira has served as an intern with the State’s Attorney’s Office of Prince George’s County and as a Rule 16 Student Attorney for the University of Baltimore Innocence Project Clinic.  Kira is a member of the Maryland Bar and is in the process of securing membership in the Bar of the District of Columbia.  She begins with the firm in our general Insurance Defense practice and will provide assistance in all aspects of litigation defense.  

Diane Moir is a 2007 graduate of Towson University and she received her law degree in 2011 from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Central Islip, New York.  Diane spent one year as an Associate Attorney with the Law Office of Elias C. Schwartz before relocating to Washington, D.C. where she has spent several months with the D.C. Volunteer Lawyers Project.  Prior to that time, she has extensive experience as a law clerk and/or legal intern with several firms in New York, as well as serving as a judicial intern for The Honorable David P. Sullivan, Nassau County, New York Court.  Diane is a member of the bar in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and New York.  She brings her legal experience to DeCaro Doran to also assist in our Insurance Defense litigation practice.
